Angelina Beautiful/Clean invites your group/organization to participate in a Fall Cleanup on Saturday, November 13th at 8:30am. You have the opportunity to join hundreds of volunteers in Angelina County in cleaning up our streets, highways, and waterways, while competing for prize money to benefit your group/organization. The AB/C affiliates in Diboll, Homer / Bald Hill, Hudson, Huntington, Lufkin, and Zavalla will be joining in this event and your organization will be allowed to participate in your local community.
Following the cleanup all volunteers are invited to enjoy refreshments provided by Angelina Beautiful/Clean in their community. NOTICE: $300 in prize money will be awarded in each of the communities listed above and is awarded based on the number of active participants in your group. The top three most active groups/organizations in their community will win prize money! If there is a tie, the group that has picked up the most trash will be determined as the winner. To be eligible for the prize money the registration forms must be in our office before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5th.
Group leaders will receive cleanup location instructions upon receipt of a completed registration from your group/organization. Adopt-A-Highway groups will clean their regular pick-up sites and should obtain cleanup up supplies from the Texas Department of Transportation.
SAFETY FIRST!!!
Each volunteer MUST wear gloves in order to be counted
as a “participating volunteer”. Please BRING gloves!
We need every group to fill out the registration form so we can get an accurate count for our records and refreshment preparation. The attendance sheet taken the day of the event will need to be collected and verified to be considered for the prize money.
