The streets are a little cleaner after this weekend's county wide cleanup according to Angelina Beautiful/Clean (AB/C) Director Tony Moline.  "This year's county wide cleanup was another huge success.  Over 339 volunteers signed up to clean our roadways, parks, and other ‘common areas' this last weekend county wide."

Communities throughout the county helped clean this year.  The communities that participated include Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, and Lufkin.  This commitment provides an ongoing force in this area to have a clean and safe environment.  "The involvement by these communities helps us keep Angelina County clean," Moline said.

Some of the items found during the "Fall Sweep" include a couch, shoes, and money was found by one of the groups.  Moline later stated he was happy so many different organizations decided to participate.  "We had church groups, schools, a cub scout group, and even a local bank participated in this cleanup.  If everybody pitches in a little, we have the opportunity to make this area one of the cleanest in the state."
