Lufkin Parks & Recreation Wins June Beautification Award

[Lufkin, TX – June 21, 2021] Angelina Beautiful/Clean (AB/C) presented Lufkin Parks & Recreation with a Beautification Award on June 16th, 2021. The award was presented by members of the Angelina Beautiful/Clean Board of Directors and the June Beautification sponsor, Selena Mitchell Farmers Insurance.
The Beautification Award is an environmental award program that recognizes individuals, organizations, and businesses that have demonstrated exceptional leadership in protecting or enhancing our local environment. This is in recognition of achievement in helping to beautify the Angelina County area through building improvements, and any other means which enhances the beauty of our Deep East Texas community.
Per Emily Thornton, AB/C Executive Director, “We are proud to award Lufkin Parks & Recreation with our June Beautification Award. Many are not aware of the beautiful developments Parks & Rec has made to Jones Park, and I invite you to come check it out. The Lufkin Parks & Recreation team is constantly making strides to improve our community environment, and their efforts do not go unnoticed.”
