Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin Wins Feb 2021 Beautification Award

Angelina Beautiful/Clean (AB/C) presented The Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin with a Beautification Award on February 3rd, 2021. The award was presented by members of the Angelina Beautiful/Clean Board of Directors and the February Beautification sponsor, Whataburger.

The Beautification Award is an environmental award program that recognizes individuals, organizations, and businesses that have demonstrated exceptional leadership in protecting or enhancing our local environment. This is in recognition of achievement in helping to beautify the Angelina County area through building improvements, and any other means which enhances the beauty of our Deep East Texas community.

Per Emily Thornton, AB/C Executive Director, “Our organization is thrilled to honor The Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin for their efforts to beautify our community environment. The work put forth by this team of dedicated men and women in order to create a comfortable and beautiful facility for those they serve is outstanding. Their efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are honored to celebrate The Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin.”

“I would love to mention special thanks to staff member Paula Willis and volunteer Connie Ciatti (not pictured) for their consistent work on the gardening of the center.” Said Paula Havard, Executive Director for the Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin. “Thank you to the donors of our plants, large rocks, and the driftwood, which all added wonderful beauty to our facility. To Lufkin's First Baptist Church and the Love Lufkin project for several years of help with large tasks at the Center and to Harmony Hill Baptist Church for constructing the amazing gazebo. There are many other individuals and small businesses from within the community who have contributed to making the Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin an inviting facility for expectant and parenting families. We are extremely grateful.”
